In my works I often use the technique of fabric collage. It gives me various possibilities of expression. The good example is "The
Gun-Apron" - which may be seen as an apron, object of art, CD's cover or logo at the same time. The collage technique allows me to
combine different areas, where life, art and dreams are always mixed together.
In the section of personal works, among the other collages I show The Felt Ties - my first fabric collages. Later they developed into
larger pictures, in which I use tablecloths, aprons and napkins as a background. Pieces of fabric create patches and surfaces of
colour; drawn lines are replaced by threads.
I am interested in such ways of expression, which can give me a lot of freedom. Light and space are very important. When I work on my
illustrations, I use various kinds of illumination to emphasize the plasticity and the texture of the fabric.
Recently I try to explore this experience by creating three-dimensional scenes- installations, in which even an accidental object may
play the major role.
The works shown here are for sale - in the original form or as a print on paper.
